Allu Aravind established Geetha Arts in 1972 and produced many successful films. He entered Bollywood and released a couple of movies with Chiranjeevi like Prathiband and Gentleman. Later, he bankrolled some small budget films in Hindi and he delivered a blockbuster Ghazni with Aamir Khan. After this, he became busy with Telugu films and recently he launched his digital wing Aha. Almost after 12 years, Allu Aravind to produce two Bollywood projects and both of these are the remakes of two successful Tollywood movies.
Allu Aravind is co-producing the Hindi version of Nani’s Jersey with Dil Raju featuring Shahid Kapoor as the main lead. Gautham Thinnenuri who directed the Telugu version will direct this project too. Now, the latest news is that Allu Aravind is planning to remake Arundathi in Hindi. Recently, he bagged the remake rights of Arundathi from Shyam Prasad Reddy.
Arundathi stood as the highest-grosser in 2009. It was directed by Kodi Rama Krishna starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role. Anushka lived in the character of Jejamma and this movie remained as a milestone in her career. Arundathi won 10 Nandhi Awards and a couple of Filmfare awards.
Deepika Padukone might play the title role in the Hindi version of Arundathi. Deepika earlier acted in the periodic movies like Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat. So, it is easy to act for her in this movie. Deepika Padukone will also be seen in Prabhas-Nag Ashwin project. Let’s see how for Deepika impresses audience as Jejamma.
