Demon Slayer, the Japanese anime film, is setting new benchmarks at the Indian box office. In just 2 days, the film has sold over 1 lakh tickets despite being released only in IMAX and 4DX formats.
It also marked several firsts, from releasing in five languages to hosting 5 AM IMAX shows and screenings in non-multiplex theaters.

The film has already grossed ₹5 crore. With more than 7.75 lakh interests on BookMyShow, it has surpassed half the lifetime collections of Jujutsu Kaisen and Suzume through pre-sales alone and is now projected to cross ₹25 crore, making it the biggest anime release ever in India.
The Indian box office awaits several records, and fans are extremely excited as ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle’ releases on September 12.
The Infinity Castle Trilogy marks a significant achievement for the franchise, turning key manga chapters into three full-length films. Following its success in Japan, India has seen a spike in excitement and record advance bookings.
