Deadpool And Wolverine released on July 25th opened with positive reviews. Some call it the best Marvel film after Spiderman No Way Home in recent years. The film carried decent pre-release buzz which helped in posting a strong opening weekend at the Indian Box Office.
The film collected 21 crores on Opening day, the 4th highest opening for an English film post-pandemic. Positive WOM helped the biz to jump slightly on Saturday collecting a nett of close to 23 crores. But the film did manage to see an upward trend on Sunday, instead, the film dropped slightly as the film failed to push its biz in mass centers. With 21 crores on Sunday, film weekend nett collections stand at 64 crores. In terms of gross collections, it is close to 75 crores.
The majority of film collections were generated from southern areas. Heavy rains hit biz in northern areas on opening day. As the film witnessed a drop on Sunday, it seems unlikely that the film will touch the 200 crore mark in India.
