Ceeded is undoubtedly Balakrishna’s strongest territory and his mass films always do strong business and post huge numbers at the box office. From Akhanda to Bhagavanth Kesari, all his recent films collected around Rs 15 Cr share in this region.
Surprisingly, Daaku Maharaaj- an out-and-out mass film with positive word of mouth is not performing as expected. Given the extra ticket prices and positive talk, the movie could have been the biggest film for Balakrishna in Ceeded.
Unfortunately, the film’s share is around 12 Cr and it might just add another 1 Cr from here. The buyers will also experience some losses in this territory as the business is valued at around 15 Cr.
Daaku Majaraj has done well in Andhra and overseas but disappointed in the Nizam region and Ceeded. The film underperforming in Nizam is understandable as Balakrishna is not that strong in the region but Ceeded performance is indeed shocking.
