D55, the 55th film in Dhanush’s career, is shaping up to be one of the most interesting projects in his lineup. The film marks his first collaboration with actress Pooja Hegde and will be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, known for Amaran.
Based on real-life events, D55 tells the story of people who often go unnoticed in society but play important roles in our daily lives. With music by Sai Abhyankkar, the film promises a mix of emotion, realism, and heart, adding another strong title to Dhanush’s filmography.
As mentioned, this is the first time Dhanush and Pooja Hegde are working together. The film is expected to begin shooting in early 2026. Meanwhile, Pooja has also signed on for Kanchana 4 with Raghava Lawrence.
