It has been a week since Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush released, and the movie has become the center of Controversy until now. Many audience, critics, and religious heads criticized the creators for their wrong interpretation of the Indian Ramayana epic with the likes of Hollywood Movie’s scenes and the different portrayal of iconic characters.
Now even cricketer Virendra Sehwag made a satire on the movie and shared his views on Adipurush with a joke attached to Prabhas’s last blockbuster, Baahubali. On Twitter, Sehwag shared his views on Prabhas’ latest movie, and joked, “Adipurush dekhkar pata chala Katappa ne Bahubali ko kyun maara tha.”
The cricketer’s tweet didn’t go well with a section of netizens. Prabhas’ fans took his comment as an offense and slammed the veteran player for mocking their favorite hero.
Directed by Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ stars Prabhas as Lord Ram/Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki/Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan/Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshman/Seshu and Deva Dutta Nage as Lord Hanuman/Bajrang. Ajay – Atul, and Sachet Parampara are the music directors for this movie.
Adipurush is produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. People Media Factory is bringing the movie to the Telugu audience. Theatrical rights of the Telugu version are valued at 190 CRS and overall, the combined break even mark for all versions of the film is 320 CRS. The film needed a good run at least until the 2nd weekend to be in the safe zone, but the film succumbed to the negative talk, and now it has almost ended its run at the box office.
