The Box Office competition on August 14th between Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 is awaited by everyone. With the help of its craze, Coolie beats War 2 in Telugu advance bookings in America.
As of now, the advance bookings of Coolie are too good, and they started on a record note. The pre-sales for Premiers have already crossed 1.1M, and the film is expected to set a record for Kollywood premieres before actual shows start.
Coming to War 2 advance bookings, they have been going on a very slow note in America. The Premier’s advances stand at 200K currently. For Bollywood audiences, premieres will not work for most of the movies, so slow bookings for Hindi version can be expected.
Coolie Telugu Advance Bookings are more than War 2 in America
However, the surprising part is that Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie beats Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 in Telugu advance bookings in America.
The Telugu version of the action drama is trending higher than the Telugu version of the War sequel. Coolie’s Telugu version premiere bookings are at 200K, whereas War 2’s Telugu premiere advance bookings stand at 150K.
If we see from the business perspective, the sequel of War doubled the business of Superstar Rajini’s Coolie in Telugu.
So, War 2 needs to do double what Coolie does in all areas, but the current trend is below the latter in the USA advances, which is definitely disappointing. We need to wait and see whether the trend will change in the coming days.
