Prime Video has officially dropped the Citadel Season 2 trailer, revealing the return of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, and Stanley Tucci to their iconic roles. The highly anticipated spy thriller premieres May 6, 2026, with all seven episodes streaming exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries.
Josh Appelbaum created Citadel, and the spy adventures are far from over. The Citadel Season 2 trailer offers fans an exciting peek into the lives of elite operatives Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) and Mason Kane (Richard Madden), with Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) joining them as they confront fresh global dangers.
Global Threats and New Operatives
In the second season, the trio strives to reconstruct their broken spy agency, Citadel, which was torn down by Manticore – a formidable network supported by powerful families. When a terrifying new threat emerges, they must recruit an unlikely team of skilled operatives and launch a globe-spanning mission to stop a conspiracy capable of reshaping humanity.
The official trailer reveals tougher global threats, shifting alliances, and betrayals reshaping the spy world. Citadel Season 2 finds Avengers directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo heavily involved as executive producers, with Joe Russo also serving as director alongside showrunner David Weil and Greg Yaitanes.
Expanded Cast and Franchise
The first season premiered in 2023, and the upcoming seven-episode second season introduces many new cast members. The ensemble expands with Jack Reynor as Hutch, Matt Berry as Franke Sharpe, Lina El Arabi as Celine, Lesley Manville, Ashleigh Cummings, Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Leone, and Rayna Vallandingham.
Citadel’s spin-off series have been adapted into Indian and Italian versions, titled Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana, respectively. Citadel: Honey Bunny starred Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles.
