Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal is rocking the box office worldwide. The film has already gone past the 500 crores gross mark worldwide and is still going strong. In Maharashtra, Baahubali 2 was the first film to gross more than 200 crores, creating a benchmark. Interestingly, this was recently broken by Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, setting a new benchmark of 250 crores.
Now, Chhaava broke the record of Pushpa 2 emerging as the highest grosser in Maharashtra. Chhaava has collected nearly 260 crores gross by today and it is also expected to do more than 300 crores in the final run. With this, it will also become the first 300 crore grosser film in Maharashtra.
Maharashtra has contributed almost half of the gross for Chhaava in India. This is also because of the backdrop of the film as it is the adaptation of Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chatrapthi Sivaji. Local Audiences have flocked the theatres from the opening day, and the collections just showcase this. Telugu Audience have also welcomed the film interestingly.
