Thalapathy 67 is the hot topic now in Kollywood. This movie is the second one in the combination of Thalapathy Vijay and Director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Rumors are strongly waving that the film will be on the lines of Thalaiva Rajinikanth’s biggest hit, Baasha.
Baasha format isn’t new for South Indian cinema. It’s a beaten to death formula but still evokes the same level of excitement in movie lovers, especially fans. Because the story and setup have ample scope for the hero elevations. So, no matter how many times the format is repeated, it will get appreciated if made with right kind of narration.
Thalapathy67 reportedly will have a powerful flashback that will come in the second half. Reports are saying that the flashback will be set in Mumbai.
One of the previous films of Vijay named Thalaiva also had similar flashback set in Mumbai. Sadly, that movie didn’t live up to the expectations and became a failure. The movie also made the headlines due to the political issues before its release.
This time director Lokesh who is a pro in making the underworld and drug mafia world is taking this subject to another level with new wholly new taking.
The film will be part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s universe, which has blockbuster movies and characters in it. Vikram, Rolex, Dilli etc. have already been iconic. Though Vijay and Lokesh worked for Master, that movie isn’t part of this universe.
Vijay’s fans are now excited that Thalapathy67 is part of this most awaited universe. The movie’s non-theatrical rights have already been taken for 250 crores, according to sources. Let’s wish that Thalapathy67 will be a huge blockbuster and paves way for more films in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
