Can Rajamouli Make History In Indian Cinema?

SS Rajamouli is the most prominent director in the history of Indian cinema and there is no second doubting that. He has been influential in this supposed shift from regional cinema to Pan-Indian cinema and has laid the foundation for a healthy space in Indian cinema.

Rajamouli has always been an ambitious director and has dealt with complex subjects from the start. He was the first to make a film about Rugby in India, Sye, which also entertained the masses.

He was the first to make a fantasy drama that Telugu cinema had not witnessed before in the form of Magadheera. Rajamouli was the first to make a movie based on the revenge of a fly with Eega. Eega was released as Makkhi in Hindi as well.

Then perhaps the most prominent of them all, he was the first to make a Pan-Indian spectacle in the form of the Bahubali series. With Bahubali, Rajamouli created history, breaking every pre-existing record in the books.

Now with RRR, he is all set to do the same again. Rajamouli will be attending the 10th edition of the American Film Festival, The Beyond Fest in Los Angeles. The fest will showcase six of Rajamouli’s most iconic movies including RRR, Bahaubali 1 and 2, Eega, Magadheera, and Maryada Ramana.

The audience members will also consist of Oscar awards voters who will be watching RRR with keen interest. There is a very high possibility that RRR gets nominated for the Oscars in various categories. Rajamouli will also watch RRR with the audience at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
