Sukumar made his directorial debut with the sensational blockbuster Arya under Dil Raju’s production. After that film, they were supposed to reunite for Jagadam, but due to some creative differences, Sukumar went ahead with another producer. Since then, Dil Raju and Sukumar have not collaborated again.
Today, Sukumar is one of the most sought-after directors in Indian cinema. With the Pushpa series, his popularity has crossed all boundaries. Sukumar has found great comfort working with Mythri Movie Makers — from Rangasthalam to Pushpa, Pushpa 2, and his upcoming film with Ram Charan, all have been produced by them. Within the industry, there’s a strong buzz that Sukumar may never step out of Mythri’s production circle.
However, Dil Raju is reportedly eager to collaborate with Sukumar once again. He is said to be desperately trying to set up a massive project featuring Sukumar and Prabhas. It remains to be seen whether Dil Raju can succeed in making this combination happen.
On the other side, Mythri Movie Makers are keen to continue producing all of Sukumar’s films. They are planning Pushpa 3 right after his film with Ram Charan. It will be interesting to see which path Sukumar chooses in the coming days.
