Roshan, son of Suma and Rajeev Kanakala made his film debut with the romantic drama Bubblegum. The film was released on 29th December and couldn’t impress the audience in theatres. Bubblegum received poor reviews and became a failure at the box office. The film is now getting ready for its digital premiere.
Aha has picked up the digital rights of the film and it will stream online from 9th February onwards. Ravikanth Perepu, known for his work in Kshanam and Krishna and His Leela has directed this film that follows the life of a youngster who aspires to be a DJ and how certain unexpected moments turn his life upside down.
Targeted specifically towards youth, the film was let down by forced emotions and dragged the second half with repetitive scenes worked against the film. The film did have a few moments and a couple of songs that worked well and now it needs to be seen how the OTT audience responds to this romantic drama.
