Google India yesterday announced the ‘Year in Search 2022’ list, looking back at the moments that captivated India’s interest in 2022 across a broad range of topics. The list of the top 10 most searched movies of the year is dominated by films from the West, but also has a Bollywood film, along with one from the regional film industry. Here is the list of the top Googled films this year order wise.

The list of the highly searched films on Google all over the world has Thor: Love and Thunder on top. The list further includes two Indian films- Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva and Yash starrer KGF 2.
The Chris Hemsworth-starrer Thor: Love and thunder took up the leading spot on the list and has been the most searched film of the year throughout the world.
Dwayne Johnson-starrer Black Adam created a massive hype ever since it had been announced. With Pierce Brosnan and Noah Centineo also in the film, and a special appearance by Henry Cavill, we know why people wanted to talk about it.
Tom Cruise was back as Maverick in Top gun after over three decades, and this itself was as exciting as it could get. People were excited to see the film and had numerous queries about it.
Robert Pattinson’s The Batman took up the fourth spot on the list. Encanto, The animated film, commanded the audience’s interest and forced it to the list of Google’s most searched films in 2022.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva has created its entry in to the list in 6th position. Eight years in the making, the first time Ranbir-Alia appeared on-screen, a part of Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious trilogy, excellent VFX being the reasons it generated curiosity were plenty.
Jurassic World: Dominion, a part of the Jurassic World franchise, kids, and adults were excited to see this film alike, which made it claim the 7th position.
Ever since Yash appeared as Rocky Bhai in KGF, people wanted to know when the next part was releasing. Be it Yash’s swag and his skyrocketing popularity, or the interesting point at which the first part ended or the promise of a perfect premise-the film, all these reasons put the film at the 8th position.
Tom Holland’s adventure thriller entered the ninth spot on the list. And, Morbius picked up the tenth spot on the list. The Marvel connection made sure that people were curious about this superhero.
