Director Boyapati Srinu is known for making strong mass action films and enjoys a good image among audiences and trade. The latest buzz is that Boyapati Srinu is planning to enter Bollywood.
But the director has recently faced back-to-back box office setbacks. First, his film Skanda with Ram failed to meet expectations. Later, the sequel to Akhanda also turned out to be a major disappointment.
It is well known that the Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu combination has been a successful one in the past, delivering three blockbuster films. But Akhanda 2 did not live up to that legacy and disappointed audiences.
Because of these setbacks, Boyapati Srinu is reportedly finding it difficult to secure big stars in Telugu cinema and as a result, he is now said to be aiming for a Bollywood entry. There is a strong buzz that he recently met Dhurandhar actor Ranveer Singh and narrated a story to him. It remains to be seen how this project will finally take shape.
