Border 2 Banned Across Gulf Countries

Border 2 will not be released in Gulf Countries. After Dhurandhar, Border 2 faces the ban in Gulf.

Bollywood films are facing a new challenge in their theatrical business, especially in overseas markets. After Dhurandhar, another major Hindi film, Border 2, has reportedly been banned in several Gulf countries, including the UAE. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release tomorrow, January 23.

Earlier, Dhurandhar suffered heavy losses due to a similar ban in the Gulf region. Despite receiving a good response in other territories, the film reportedly lost close to ₹100 crore in revenue because it could not release in key Middle Eastern markets. Now, Border 2 seems to be facing the same issue.

Will the ban in Gulf countries affect Border 2’s box office results?

The film has been carrying strong buzz and anticipation among audiences, and Gulf countries are considered one of the most important overseas markets for Bollywood films. With the ban in place, the film is expected to lose a significant portion of its potential overseas earnings, which could impact its overall box-office performance.

Directed by Anuragh Singh, Border 2 is the sequel to the iconic war film Border (1997) and is based on patriotic and military themes, which have once again brought it under scrutiny in certain overseas regions.
