Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 has broken all the records in the country with the opening episode, as it registers 5.9 billion streaming minutes. Also, the Star Maa Channel registers 13.7 TVR for the launch night.
The big launch episode took place on September 7, 2025, and Akkineni Nagarjuna, who came back as the host for the sixth time, took to his social media to announce that Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 had a whopping 5.9 billion streaming minutes, breaking all the existing records.
This year’s contestants include Flora Saini, Suman Shetty, Priya Shetty, Thanuja Puttaswamy, Kalyan Padala, Emmanuel, Shrasti Varma, Manish Maryada, Demon Pavan, Sanjana Galrani, singer Ramu Rathod, Harita Harish, TV actor Bharani, Rithu Chowdary, and Srija Dammu.
There are two houses in the show; one belongs to the owners, and the other is for tenants. The owners are commoners chosen via Agnipariksha, while the tenants are the celebrities.
