Big number of censor cuts for Nani’s Dasara

Nani’s Dasara is gearing up for its release on the 30th of this month and the expectations are high for this action thriller drama from the audience and trade circles as well. The film is touted to be the costliest project in Nani’s career to date.

The latest news regarding Dasara is that the film has gone through the censorship examination, with a big number of 36 cuts. This should be some sort of record for a mainstream Telugu film, as rarely a film will get such a big number of 36 cuts and corrections from the censor board.

This also strongly suggests that Dasara is not a regular film, and it will have pure raw factor. For films with such raw and rustic elements, it is common for dialogues to be striking and there will be a good use of cursing in the film.

Nani is currently promoting the film all over the country. It should be interesting to see the pan-Indian box office chances of the film, given the inclination of northern audiences have with south-rooted films these days.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara’s music has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan and Sathyan Sooryan ISC handled cinematography. Navin Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer of the film, and Vijay Chaganti is the executive producer. Sudhakar Cherukuri is the producer.

The film stars Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Samuthirakani, Zarina Wahab, Sai Kumar and Rajsekhar Aningi. The film is set to be released in theaters on March 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is set against the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Ramagundam’s Godavarikhani of Telangana.
