Nandamuri Balakrishna who usually keeps away from MAA politics and prefers the larger stage of state politics has made comments on the MAA elections. Opening up on the politics and mudslinging going on in the current elections, the ‘Akhanda’ actor termed the infighting as unnecessary.
Balakrishna, however, raised questions on the infamous USA event over which corruption allegations were raised a couple of years ago. “They went to the USA by buying first-class tickets. And what happened to those funds?”, he questioned.
The actor also added that these are elections for Movie Artist Association and unity must be followed. He pointed out that this is an internal matter and media must not be involved through press meets and accusatory interviews.
Balakrishna further extended indirect support for the Manchu Vishnu camp by saying whoever takes ahead the issue of MAA building, he will stand by them. He also lashed out at those hobnobbing with the Chief Ministers and not even being able to procure land and building for the well-being of movie artists.
