On the occasion of his father Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao’s birth anniversary, Nandamuri Balakrishna sang the famous Raghuveera Gadyam song and dedicated it to his father. The song is in Sanskrit written by 12th-century poet Vedanta Desika.
Additionally, he also requested the fans to respect the lockdown and stay at home and not gather like every year to mark the occasion. Every year, on the occasion of NTR’s birth anniversary, fans make a bee line to pay their respects at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad. Additionally garlanding of NTR statues across the state is done as a mark of respect. Balakrishna asked everyone to desist from these activities this year.
“We all take his blessings every year at his Ghat. But this year is different because of the intensity of the pandemic. Keeping the well-being of his fans in view, it’s hereby urged of all not to visit the Ghat. I request one and all to observe covid restrictions and stay safe and strong,” he said.
