Balakrishna contacted me for Akhanda, says Perni Nani

AP I&PR Minister Perni Nani has been in continuous headlines for the past one year. He has been a part of several meetings on tickets issue and has made a number of controversial statements. Now the minister has made another sensational statement about the Akhanda producers and in particular on Balakrishna.

“I was earlier contacted by Akhanda producers through various businessmen and Nuzividu MLA. They wanted to meet me and discuss the tickets issue. Despite this being their requirement, they offered me a few time slots and said they would like to discuss during these times,” said Nani who claimed that he complied to their request.

“Later I received a call after much delay from Balakrishna himself who requested for an appointment of YS Jaganmohan Reddy,” revealed the minister. The CM said that this meeting would unnecessarily bring bad publicity for Balakrishna and instead directed to resolve their issue without any meeting.

This is a startling revelation from Perni Nani is quite a shock to many. Balakrishna has claimed that Akhanda didn’t need any government intervention. Balkrishna had also stated in the past that Akhanda became a blockbuster despite the existing ticket prices.

“Balakrishna pointed out that Akhanda was a massive success despite the tickets issue. He further added that he won’t meet Jagan even if his movie has exceeded the budget. Akhanda ran successfully even with these low rates and the only time he would meet the CM would be for the sake of his constituency and not for his films,” Balayya had famously said a few weeks ago.
