Baahubali: The Epic definitely performed very well in its re-release, and it has collected more than 50 Cr gross worldwide, emerging as the biggest grosser for any re-released Indian film worldwide.
The previous biggest re-release collections from Tollywood are just around 10 Cr, and Rajamouli’s masterpiece has done 5 times more business than that.
However, there were significant expectations prior to the release that the film would gross around 100 Cr, which it ultimately did not meet. Also, in North America, the trade’s expectations stand at a million dollars.
The film did as per expectations but did not cross this magical mark. Despite being the biggest grosser in re-releases, Baahubali: The Epic collected around $930K, and it is almost the final collection for the film, which means it missed crossing the million-dollar club by a small margin.
