The blockbuster performance of Animal has established Sandeep Reddy Vanga as one of the most in-demand directors in India. His previous movies Arjun Reddy and its Bollywood remake Kabir Singh were also hugely success and many who thought Sandeep to be a one-hit wonder have now realised his massive potential and vision.
Coming to Animal’s box office performance, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother Pranay, who’s also the film’s co-producer revealed that the film has done around 870 crores worldwide business so far. While speaking about the film’s collections, Pranay revealed that Animal would have crossed 1000 crores by now, had they followed the Bollywood trend of corporate booking.
He clarified that Bollywood biggies have a habit of indulging in heavy corporate bookings hence the massive collections. The makers of Animal have not done any such thing hence the collections are still in the sub-900 crore range. Shahrukh Khan’s recent blockbusters Jawan and Pathaan and Prabhas’ Aadipurush were recently accused of getting huge box-office numbers in the initial days due to corporate bookings.
