Everyone knows that Thalapathy Vijay, the big Tamil hero, entered politics, and he is retiring from films. Jana Nayagan is the last movie of Vijay as a hero, and the first glimpse was released today, for which Anirudh received heavy backlash.
On the occasion of Vijay’s birthday, the makers of the film, KVN Productions, released the “First Roar,” a glimpse to enthrall the fans. Naturally, it received a positive response, but the music director, Anirudh, received heavy backlash for Jana Nayagan’s BGM.
Vijay Shines in Jana Nayagan Teaser – But Anirudh fails to impress
It’s a known fact that Jana Nayakudu is a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, and the film’s glimpse showed Vijay in a police getup, which hints that it is a part of the flashback portions.
If we remember Bhagavanth Kesari, Balakrishna also appears as a police officer in the flashback that comes in the second half. So, with the first glimpse, it is confirmed that Jana Nayagan is a remake.
Netizens Hail Thaman and Criticise Anirudh after Jana Nayagan’s First Glimpse Release
While Vijay’s looks/presentation, and cinematography are good in the glimpse of Jana Nayagan, it could have been much better if Anirudh’s BGM had matched the visuals.
The fans are extremely disappointed with Anirudh’s work, as they expected that he would give his best for Thalapathy Vijay. Also, a few netizens compared the Bhagavanth Kesari’s BGM and did edits of JN’s teaser with Thaman’s BGM.
Directed by H. Vinoth, who made films like ‘Theeran Adhigaram’ (Khaki) and ‘Thunivu,’ this film stars Vijay in the lead role, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Varalaxmi, Revathi, Mamitha Baiju, Narain, and Shruti Haasan in important roles. ‘Jana Nayagan’ is scheduled for a Pongal release in January 2026.
