For its genre and that too in November, releasing the film on Thursday was a big mistake by the team, which resulted in a below-par start for the film in domestic areas. As said above, Andhra King Taluka did receive positive WOM and ratings, but it collected only 4 Cr gross in Telugu states due to a Thursday release.
During a recent press meet, Mythri Ravi, one of the producers of the film, said that they had to release the film on Thursday due to the USA Thanksgiving Day weekend, which affected domestic collections.
At the same time, Ram and Bhagyasri going on USA tour promotions this week worked in favor of the USA market, but the domestic performance was affected, and it was accepted by the producers as well.
As the hero and heroine did not participate in the promotions during the crucial time of the release, the film’s numbers in Telugu states did not come as expected.
The team is expecting that the film will take a jump from this evening, and it must take a jump for success. The WOM is unanimously positive, which is definitely expected to bring a good number of audiences to the theaters.
