Andhra King Taluka Shock Drop on Day 2

Now with the Akhanda 2 release' postponement, Andhra King Taluka gets an advantage for the 2nd weekend. The buyers are at just 50% recovery till now. If the 2nd weekend scores big, then buyers will see some good recoveries. The team also needs to do some aggressive promotions this weekend. If even with this advantage, the movie fails to bring audiences, then it will definitely be a shocker.

Andhra King Taluka, the latest film of Ram Pothineni, did not have a good opening at the box office in India due to its genre and Thursday release. But as the film received positive reviews, everyone expected it to show a jump on day 2, but shockingly, day 2 saw a slight drop from day 1.

In Telugu states, the film just opened with 4 Cr gross, while overseas was good. Overall, Andhra King Taluka’s worldwide opening day gross was just above 7 Cr. As the movie is carrying positive WOM, it was expected to get more numbers today, and the makers also expected the same.

But surprisingly, the film did not see a jump on day 2, and it even dropped slightly from day 1, which is definitely not good for the movie. However, the good sign is that the second show received strong occupancies. The film definitely needs to collect much more than the day 1 numbers tomorrow, and day 4 has to be the biggest day for the AKT to score a good weekend.

The film needs to collect 50 Cr gross worldwide to break even, and the first weekend should aim for at least 35 Cr, as Akhanda 2 is releasing the following weekend, making it difficult to achieve significant numbers in the second weekend.
