The announcement of the currently untitled film, which will be backed by Lyca Productions, was made in March. TJ Gnanavel, who is well-known for his work on Jai Bhim, will be the director of it. The music for the Tamil film, which will be produced by Subaskaran, will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Lyca Productions announced recently that Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati will join Rajinikanth in the movie. Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan are also in the cast.

Amitabh and Rajini’s last collaboration was in the family drama Hum (1991). For the first time in 32 years, they will be working together for Thalaivar 170.
