Icon Star Allu Arjun has received a setback in connection with the Pushpa 2 premiere stampede case. The Nampally Court has rejected the actor’s request to appear virtually for the proceedings, citing security concerns.
The court made it clear that, as per legal procedure, Allu Arjun must be physically present for the first hearing and cannot seek exemption through an online appearance.
Allu Arjun Named as 11th Accused in Chargesheet
The development comes after the Chikkadpally Police included Allu Arjun as the 11th accused in the latest chargesheet filed in the case related to the tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre in December 2024.
The incident resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and sparked widespread debate regarding crowd management and security arrangements during the film’s Pushpa 2 premiere event.
As part of the trial process, the Nampally Magistrate Court issued summons to the actor, directing him to appear before the court and submit the required bail bonds.
With the court refusing his plea for a virtual appearance, Allu Arjun is now expected to attend the hearing in person on Monday.
Heavy Security Deployed for Court Appearance
Anticipating a large gathering of fans and media personnel, Hyderabad Police have been put on alert. Authorities are taking precautionary measures to ensure that no untoward incidents occur around the court premises.
Additional police personnel are expected to be deployed, and elaborate security arrangements are being made to prevent overcrowding and avoid a repeat of any stampede-like situation.
The case has remained in the spotlight ever since the tragic incident occurred during the Pushpa 2 premiere, and Allu Arjun is now required to appear before the Nampally Court personally. Monday’s hearing is expected to draw significant public and media attention.
