The latest reports from the Bollywood circles suggest that Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 movie could be postponed. It was reported that the Censor Board ordered 20 cuts and some changes to the film. The film, which is reportedly talks about sex education, has also been certified as “Adults only”. According to the reports, the producers are planning to postpone the film’s release to challenge the changes ordered by the Censor Board. OMG 2 is currently slated to be released on August 11.
“The makers believe of shifting the release date from August 11 as they want to fight against the changes recommended by the committee and also line up proper promotions of the film.”says a close source of the film’s unit.
“The makers are not comfortable with these cuts as they believe that it’ll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an ‘A’ certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages,” the source said.
Akshay Kumar and OMG 2 films’ director Amit Rai have yet to respond to the reports. OMG 2, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva. It was expected that OMG 2 will have a clash with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 at the box office.
