Akhanda 2 was announced for a 25th September release by the makers. Now the news is that the film is moving from September and looking for a December release, as it involves a lot of VFX and the work is pending.

The technical excellence is a must for the film, as it has a supernatural/divine touch with huge budget. So, though the fans will be disappointed, Akhanda 2 will take its time, and it may target a Christmas release.
This sequel has only one slot, i.e, Christmas as the December 1st week has The Raja Saab set to be released.
We need to wait and see whether Akhanda 2 arrives on Christmas or it moves to Pongal 2026. But most chances are for it to arrive for Christmas.
