Akhanda 2 Hindi Fails to Even Touch 1 Cr

Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu's Akhanda 2 is a big failure in Hindi

Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2 was not only expected to excel in Telugu states but even in North India, but the film emerged as a failure everywhere. Because of the sequel factor, the makers anticipated a massive business from it.

Undoubtedly, the Akhanda 2 team chose a subject that goes beyond regional issues to attract pan-Indian audiences. The makers expected the film to perform well among Hindi audiences. However, shockingly, the film failed to even recover its production expenses. So far, it is said to have collected only around ₹70 lakh gross, which is almost the final total for the film.

The team could have followed the approach of the first part instead. Unfortunately, they overestimated the film’s potential, which cost the makers heavily, and Akhanda 2 ended up as a failure. The poor performance has reportedly come as a big shock to the team.

If they had made mainly the film for Telugu audiences, with the Hindi market treated as optional, it could have at least earned much better numbers in Telugu.
