Ajith Kumar’s much-awaited next film has finally been announced, which is titled Dare Devil. The project reunites the actor with director Adhik Ravichandran after their successful collaboration on Good Bad Ugly. Filming begins on November 2, 2026.
The announcement comes after a long and eventful wait. The project had been stuck in limbo for months, held up by Ajith’s remuneration demand, which pushed the film’s overall budget well past ₹300 crore once factored in. Several production houses showed interest along the way but backed off, unable to make the economics work. With no outside producer willing to take on the financial risk, Ajith’s wife, Shalini Ajithkumar, has now stepped in to produce the film herself , marking her debut as a producer under the newly launched banner Bravehearts Production.
Dare Devil has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his reunion with Ajith after Vedalam and Vidaamuyarchi. The film is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The first-look poster shows Ajith in a striking all-white suit with red-tinted glasses, seated on a red leather chair with a die in hand , a stylish, high-stakes visual that matches the title.
With Shalini backing the project and a firm floor date locked in, Dare Devil is now officially on track after over a year of speculation.
