Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of the leading Star actresses in the South, has found herself in the middle of trolls after a colossal failure of her recent mythological drama Shaakunthalam. Directed by Gunasekhar, the movie has received a lot of backlash from the audience because of the poor VFX, Samantha’s mismatched dubbing, weak narration, and almost every other element of the film.
The fact that the reviewers and audience stated that the Allu Arha’s performance is the only positive point is evidence of the bizarre state of the film. As if Samantha had more than enough to worry about, producer Chitti Babu made bold remarks about the actress and her fall from fame.
In an interview with a Telugu YouTube channel, the actor-producer called out Samantha for her choice of roles and promotional acts in recent times. “She is accepting whatever offer comes her way after her divorce. Her career as a star heroine has come to an end,” he quoted. Talking about her emotional outburst during her recent promotional tours for her films, Chitti Babu commented, “Crying in front of the media and making emotional statements don’t always work. Audiences will encourage a film only if it has promising content.”
The Tollywood veteran even went to the extent of calling Samantha’s acts as a mere publicity stunts. Producer Chitti Babu added, “I wonder how an out-of-form heroine like Samantha was picked for the role of Shakunthala. I have zero interest in the film.”
Samantha took to her Instagram account to react to the comments of chittibabu, and she gave a slipper shot reply to the producer by commenting on the issue of hair coming from his ears. Samantha stated that if you do a Google search on why people have hair coming out of their ears, doctors say that it is because of the high level of testosterone that the hair comes out.
Many netizens in the social media have supported her by saying that she has given a slipper shot counter to Chittibabu’s comments and a few sections of them were not happy and said Samantha should have maintained a level of decency and doing body-shaming was not right on her part.
